The Rabbi

The Rabbi

JewMan, aka The Iron Rabbi isn’t just another tattooer, he’s one of those breeds you don’t see much anymore. The kind who came up raw, sharp, and stubborn, earning every inch of skill with blood, burns, and busted knuckles.

Born with a needle in hand and a chip on his shoulder, he’s walked the hard road most won’t touch- started tattooing by hand back in 2011- real handpoke, the kind laid down by Big Tim, Sam O’Reilly, and Chuck Wagner. Not the trendy stuff- the roots. He earned a formal apprenticeship in late 2019, completed in 2021, and has been putting in the work ever since.

His foundation is American Traditional and Japanese Traditional, and that’s where his heart’s at: bold lines, strong shapes, tattoos that age with dignity. But don’t box him in. The Rabbi’s custom work spans the map- black and grey realism, bold script, illustrative- whatever the piece calls for, he shows up and delivers.

He has trained in Tebori as well- the traditional Japanese handcarved method- and he treats that technique with the respect it deserves.

What makes him stand out isn’t just his style- it’s his respect. Respect for the craft, the lineage, the machines, the process. He knows where it all came from and he knows where he’s taking it. He builds, tunes, tattoos, and still finds a way to keep learning.

He has been around coil machines since he was a kid, his uncle Tony moved in and set up shop in a basement, with hands covered in sumi ink and flux- full sleeves and back pieces, and he knew what a real tattoo looked like before he could grow a mustache.

He believes in knowing where this all comes from- and knowing where he’s gonna take it. His hands carry a torch that was hand forged by the giants themselves. He won’t stand on their shoulders without walking in their foot steps first.
No gimmicks. No TikTok flash-in-the-pan bullshit.
